The classes at O Convento are Hatha Yoga and a gentler version of it. Hatha Yoga is the traditional form of yoga that originated in India thousands of years ago. Everyone can practise (gentle) Hatha Yoga, making Andrea’s classes inclusive. Whether you’re young or old, flexible or not at all, fit or injured, there is always a way to benefit from the practice.
Classes are 90 minutes long, allowing time to explore all aspects of Hatha Yoga, including asana (postures), breathing, mindfulness, etc. Andrea teaches in English but is happy to explain in Dutch, German or Portuguese if necessary.
For children aged 6–12, there is Kids Yoga. These 60-minute classes include yoga games, breathing exercises, mindfulness and actual asana.

Jools Rogan taught Barre in London and has practiced yoga for 5 years. In 2025, she began a yoga teacher training with Briohny Smyth, head of ALO MOVES Yoga.
Jools likes to build strong dynamic Vinyasa flow combined with breathwork to place the mind in the present and release energy. She also has a special interest and training in alignment techniques that prevent injury and support the body and therefore get the maximum from our practice.
Ultimately, she loves Yoga and is interested in the physical meeting with the mind and likes to share this empowerment. As a competitive horse rider when she was younger, she also has an interest in the power of yoga to benefit and supplement the training in any sport.
Power Reformer combines heavy spring loads, dumbbells, slower tempos, and controlled muscular fatigue for an intense, high-energy workout. Expect to challenge your strength, stability, and endurance through powerful, precise movements that push your limits. Leave feeling stronger, more empowered, and rewarded by every effort you put into your practice.
After living in Portugal for two years, it felt like the right time to start a new adventure. Portugal is now our home, and I wanted to create a business that reflects the lifestyle we have embraced here. With the sunshine, slower pace of life, and a community that values health and wellbeing, it is the perfect place to share the benefits of Reformer Pilates.
Orange Cork Studios is about more than just exercise. It is a welcoming space where people can move, feel stronger, improve their physical and mental wellbeing, and take time for themselves. My goal is to help others discover the same enjoyment and confidence that Reformer Pilates has given me. I am excited to build a supportive community where everyone feels encouraged, inspired, and empowered to prioritise their health and enjoy moving their bodies. I can’t wait to welcome you.
